From the President
Hello! Hope everyone had a good couple of months since our last meeting. For those that do not know, my wife (Donna) passed away September 6th. To those members that sent flowers, donated money, made food, and attended Donna's memorial service, my family and I thank you all.
Now on to business, this being my final letter as your president, I would like to thank all the membership for their support. I have enjoyed my time as your president, even though I will no longer hold any office, I will continue to support our association behind the scenes and will continue teaching.
Again everyone, please make your reservations as soon as possible to ensure we meet our room quota at the hotel. If you make your reservation by other means (expedia, hot wire, etc) please let Debbie or I know. They may still count towards the association room totals.
We have several raffles currently going on; the RW4 will be raffled at this meeting, the JMA cloner will be raffled at a upcoming meeting, and the 3D Pro Xtreme. The RW4 and JMA cloner tickets are $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00 per cloner. The 3D Pro Xtreme is $100.00 per ticket, only 100 tickets will be sold; when all tickets are sold the drawing will be held. All tickets will be available at the ladies auxiliary desk.
I have said this many times before; we are always in need of instructors. Please volunteer to teach, we are all good at something (instructors receive the same credit hours as the students). If you feel uncomfortable getting in front of a class the first time; one of our current instructors may be willing to help you. If you would like to volunteer or have any ideas for a class, let Mike or I know.
One last time as your president, please make an effort to attend the business meeting. Attendance during my presidency has improved but I believe it can still be better. Remember, it is your association. Get involved! Elections will be held during this meeting, so attend. You need to know who your new president will be and who your new board members are. Besides, attending the business meeting gives you a chance to win a door prize.
The NC Locksmith Association is a great group of locksmiths and one of the best locksmith associations in the country. I know you all will continue to make it something for other locksmith associations to envy.
Also, remember you must keep your registration receipt paperwork with you at all times.
Coffee will only be available first thing Friday and Saturday morning.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone in November. If you need to contact me please do so by email: email@example.com and I will respond in the evening when I get home. If you do not have email or if it is an emergency you may call my cell phone 252-422-4292.
